Assign a Resource to an Activity Graphically
- In the Setup Schedule > Production tab, select Activities.
- From the Resources pane, drag the resource onto the activity to which you want it to apply.
- In the Max Rate box, type the maximum rate for the resource for the activity.
- Press ENTER.
The resource icon appears to the left of the activity in the 2D Canvas, the Max Rate box appears, and a new row is added to the Activity rates data grid.
Note: The value for the maximum rate is the maximum amount of work the resource can achieve when working on the activity in a single mining location.
The maximum rate for the resource is set, and appears in the Value column of the Activity rates data grid.
Assign a Resource to an Activity using the Activity Rates Data Grid
- In the Activity rates data grid, click Insert.
- In the Activity column, select the activity to which you want to apply the resource.
- In the Locations columns, select the location or locations at which the resource performs the activity.
- In the Resources column, select the resource or resources that performs the activity in the locations.
- In the Parameter column, select the MAX_RATE parameter.
- In the Value column, type the maximum rate for the resource.
- In the Date/event column, select the date or event at which you want the resource to be applied to the activity.
- In the Delay column, type the number of days you want to pass after the event selected in the Date/event has occurred, before the resource is applied to the activity.
- If you want to define any other parameters for the resource for the activity in the specified locations, copy the row and change the Parameter and its Value.
A new row is added to the data grid.
Note: You can select more than one location using the Wildcard Expression Builder. The location is usually left at the default value (*), signifying all locations.
Note: You usually assign only one resource to an activity.
